KATHLEEN HUGHES, RN, BSN, REIKI MASTER PRACTITIONER
Kathleen earned her RN licensure in 2014 after graduating from Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, CT. She then graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Southern New Hampshire University in 2018. Interested in holistic treatments and home care, she focused most of her nursing career working with homebound patients as well as with patients with intellectual disabilities.
As her interest in the healing arts grew, she learned about different non medical treatments that help soothe, heal, calm and rejuvenate the body. Having had success with receiving reiki sessions herself and after obtaining Reiki I and II in 2018, she looked into how she could also help others through reiki and became a reiki master practitioner in 2020.
Kathleen has helped alleviate pain and anxiety to home bound and hospice patients through her reiki energy work and continues to use a holistic approach when treating patients. Her interests include gardening, plant-based cooking, nature walks and spending time with her rescue dogs.
