Shawn M. Carney, ND
After graduating with honors as a double major in environmental science and philosophy from Purchase College in New York, Dr. Shawn M. Carney continued to pursue a fusion of these interests by undertaking a career in integrative medicine. He received a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the University of Bridgeport after having worked for several engineering and environmental science firms and serving as a full-time emergency medical technician. Dr. Carney has studied in a wide array of settings including AIDS Project of Greater Danbury, Casa Hostos Rehabilitation Center of Bridgeport, and with physicians from the International Lyme and Associated Disease Society (ILADS). He is currently a member of The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) Clinicians for Planetary Health (C4PH), an initiative of the Planetary Health Alliance, and the MIND. SET. GROW. project, which committed to creating resources and training for teachers across the globe to bring preventative mental wellness into the classrooms.
Dr. Carney is board certified and a licensed naturopathic physician in Connecticut, where he formerly served on the Board of Directors for The Connecticut Naturopathic Physicians' Association. He has been an adjunct professor at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine and has been a featured guest on podcasts, television and radio programs including The Anxiety Dr., Your Zen Friend, CPR Dave and The Natural Housecall 89.5WPKN. Dr. Carney employs herbs, nutritional supplements, acupuncture, homeopathy, lifestyle medicine and low level laser therapy in his approach to optimizing health.
Deborah Quinn, LMT
Deborah Quinn is a talented massage therapist with a passion for helping people reduce stress, shed anxiety and holistic healing. She is a 2018 graduate of the Cortiva Institute for Massage Therapy where she graduated with a Certificate of Academic Excellence. Deborah has extensive experience working in several spas, as well as in her own private practice. She is known for her customized 90-minute sessions, which include Swedish and deep tissue massage blended with light cupping, as myo-fascial traction using therapeutic suction moved continually over different regions of the body, lubricated by oils .
Deborah embraces a holistic lifestyle that includes daily self-care, whole foods nutrition, and meditation. She can be found immersing herself in nature and loves gardening or walking her dog.
