SHAWN M. CARNEY, ND
After graduating with honors as a double major in environmental science and philosophy from Purchase College in New York, Dr. Shawn M. Carney continued to pursue a fusion of these interests by undertaking a career in integrative medicine. He received a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the University of Bridgeport after having worked for several engineering and environmental science firms and serving as a full-time emergency medical technician. Dr. Carney has studied in a wide array of settings including AIDS Project of Greater Danbury, Casa Hostas Rehabilitation Center of Bridgeport, and with physicians from the International Lyme and Associated Disease Society (ILADS).

Dr. Carney is board certified and a licensed naturopathic physician in Connecticut, where he formerly served on the Board of Directors for The Connecticut Naturopathic Physicians' Association. He has been an adjunct professor at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine and has been a featured guest on television and radio programs including CPR Dave and The Natural Housecall 89.5WPKN. Dr. Carney employs herbs, nutritional supplements, acupuncture, homeopathy, lifestyle medicine and low level laser therapy in his approach to optimizing health.


Dorina Leslie, LMT
Dorina Leslie is a talented massage therapist and holistic healer. Following a true spiritual calling, she is a 2013 graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and has extensive experience working in a functional medicine office, several spas, as well as in her own private practice. She offers profound energy healing with her therapeutic yet spiritual style. She is known for her customized 90-minute sessions, which include Reiki, BEMER therapy, reflexology, light craniosacral therapy, and wonderful Thai yoga stretching.​

Also committed to supporting those on the road to recovery, whether from mental health issues or addiction, she is dedicated to helping those who struggle with anxiety, depression, and mental health issues. Dorina remains a Parent Advocate for Newport Academy, a residential treatment center that saved her daughter's life.

Dorina embraces a holistic lifestyle that includes daily self-care, whole foods nutrition, and clean and sober living. She can be found immersing herself in nature and loves kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, or walking her dog.
